Has the recent week of horrors, the wicked and evil decisions by those in positions of power, confirmed the belief that England's green and pleasant land has finally been conquered by the Stonehenge neopagans? Is England now the grey and grotty ground that Heathrow and Gatwick runways suggest it is — and like the original autobahns are they built on the blood of innocent men, women, and unborn children? It would seem like now is the time for God's wrath to cast England (and its minions in Scotland, Wales, and Ireland) into the pits of Hell.
God's ways, however, are not our ways. And the proof is in His fidelity to those who love Him. While England's tabloid The Star was trying to stir up anti-papal sentiment in the wake of the barbaric decisions of the “Mother of all Parliaments”, and also the madness of neo-con warmongers, by claiming the Pope was against technology — a crude attempt to groom the poor old Brits with more psychological warfare and keep them away from fighting for a Christ-centred society — Catholics hearts were being raised in a Te Deum type response to the latest attempt to completely cut England off from Christ. It wasn't a defiant cry by a remnant. Rather, it was the marriage of a young Catholic couple, celebrated in a truly fitting manner, by more than a handful of their contemporaries. It sent a signal to the powers of darkness and their minions who claim to be England's “elites”. The message for those with ears to hear and eyes to see was clear: Christ is risen! You may try to calm your conscience with false laws and false freedoms, but you will die in your sins if you do not repent! Christ is risen, and death has no power over him. Your cause is hopeless! Turn to Him and you will find the happiness you long for. Turn to Him and England will be forever green!
In the scorching heat of an English June day, a June that will always belong to the Sacred Heart with its burning love for every English man – no matter his age, status, or ethnic background – the triumph of grace over sin and death was announced again. Christ's victory over death was present again in an England deserving annihilation, showing that God's response to the wickedness of poor sinners is not what those poor sinners imagine it will be. God will not withdraw his Goodness if He finds just one just man. Yes. Just one. Somewhere in England a just soul won for this whole nation the grace to exist for one more moment, and for more than simple existence to be given to it. A soul so filled with Goodness that it is prepared to carry the sins of all those in this land. This soul, united to Christ in His Sacrifice of Love, has held England in existence for another day. Not some by Act of Parliament; not by some political movement; and not by some economic or military conquest filled with greed and hatred was this land spared. No. It was by charity – God's life in the soul by grace, and beyond the belief of materialistic, spiritualistic, and sinful men – that allowed the young to say to the truth and goodness of Sacramental Marriage: “I do!”
And they did say, “I do!” And because of this, England lives once more.
It lives not by the power of the glorious music hailing England as somewhere that Christ may have walked. It lives not by the power of liturgical gestures that fittingly express the wonder of man giving God to God. Nor does it live by the powerful sentiments rising up in the hearts of justly proud Englishmen at what God is doing for them. Rather, it is by His grace lifting their music up to Him; it is by His grace lifting their true worship up to Him; and it is by His grace raising their mournful hearts up to Him — this is where England's children and weakest ones are born anew. And God answered to them, “Yes, I do!” By His power this land is, and will forever be His; and by His grace, it will forever be green and pleasant.
The Enemy is trembling. St. George is on the move!
